I just bought the Skyborne Epic Pack for World of Warcraft: Forever. I have not played WoW since 2022, but this has me interested in coming back.

Forever launches on 4 November 2026 at 11:00 p.m. UK time. Everyone with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time gets access. The packs in the Battle.net shop are optional upgrades on top of that, and I can’t play the game without an optional upgrade that doesn’t feel very optional to me, especially if you want to play the new race, LOL.

According to Blizzard, the Skyborne Epic Pack includes the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starting experience, early name reservation, 30 days of Game Time added from 4 November, extra cosmetics, Forever-only pets and tabards, and three Invite-A-Friend launch codes for the first week (shot me a message if you want one of the codes before the 4th of November). Beta access was included as well, but that finished on 21 October 2026. I am aiming to get on launch night and secure a name in the early reservation window, from 27 October to 3 November 2026.

I played this from the start

I played the original World of Warcraft game from the very start when it first came out, and I got highly addicted to it. That is why I am being careful this time before I create a character.

This time around, I am setting aside a few hours each night at launch, then sticking to playing it Friday night and at different times on weekends. Outside those times, I am leaving it alone. I will not be a raid leader this time either. I have done that before, and it turns the game into another job, one I was pretty good at, but I did shout at people a lot LOL.

Alliance Priest on Normal in Europe

I am going Alliance and playing a Priest as both Holy and Shadow, as you can dual spec at level 40 this time. Holy when a group needs healing, Shadow when I want to do damage on quests and in dungeons without always being the person people ask for a resurrect.

I will be picking Normal in Europe. Forever does not have separate servers like the original WoW. Everyone is in one giant region, and they have a new system, so you interact more with your friends and people you meet in the game.

No guide from me this time

Back in the day, I used my PPC skills to sell tens of thousands of dollars in guides during the opening weeks of new expansions. That was work and a way for me to justify spending so much time playing the game LOL. This time I am just playing.

I bought the Epic Pack because I am interested again, and I have already decided how much of my week it gets; wish me luck. If you are a returning player too, that last part matters more than what epics you get from raids, he says now, but knows he must complete things LOL.
